Overview
Central Valley Gas Storage, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL Resources Inc. (NYSE: GAS), has started construction on a market area natural gas storage facility in the Sacramento River valley of north-central California. Central Valley plans to provide up to 11 Bcf of working gas capacity, offering flexible, high-deliverability multi-cycle services. The facility will interconnect with the gas transmission system of Pacific Gas and Electric.Central Valley has conducted a successful Open Season to obtain non-binding expressions of interest from prospective customers, and is currently in negotiations with several interested parties to finalize storage agreements. Central Valley has obtained a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the California Public Utilities Commission. The facility is now in the process of injecting gas and is scheduled to begin to offer firm service in 2012.

(NYSE: GAS), is in the construction phase of its planned natural gas storage facilities located in Colusa County California. The Central Valley natural gas storage project is a high deliverability depleted reservoir that will provide multi-turn services tailored to customers' requirements.Current construction activities include completing compressor unit installation and commissioning approximately 15 miles of 24-inch pipeline constructed to connect the storage field to PG&E’s transmission system. Once completed, the facility will have a storage capacity of 11.0 BCF and an injection and withdrawal capacity of 300 million standard cubic feet per day.
